The idea of a driverless car is not new. Now there are already cars on the road that can 
park themselves. But a truly self-driving car, one that can drive itself, is being tested by 
scientists and engineers. 
Self-driving cars have already tested on public roads. These cars not only record images 
of the road, but their computerised maps view road signs, find alternative routes and see 
traffic lights even before they are seen by a person. By using radars and cameras, the cars 
can analyse information about their surroundings faster than a human can.

stops to let them pass by. Self-driving cars could make transport safer for all of us by
