I. AIMS
1. Knowledge:
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
- listen for special information about a comedy;
- write a short paragraph about your favorite film.

II. TEACHING AIDS
1. Students: 
- Grade 7 textbook, workbook
- Computer connected to the Internet

III. TEACHING PROCEDURES:
1. Warm up: (Exercise 1, p. 89)
- T asks Ss some questions: 
What do you do in your free time?
Have you ever seen a comedy?
What do you like/ dislike about a comedy?
Ss think and and answer
Game: Name the comedy
- Teacher divides the class into 2 groups and shows them a video of some comedies. 
- After the video, teacher asks students to pass the chalk and take turns to run to the board and write down the name of the films that appeared in the video. 
- Students take turns to run to the board and write down the name of the films appeared in the video.
- Teacher allows students to cross check first.
- Teacher confirms the answers and gives feedback.
2. New lesson
a. Activity 1: Listening
* Objective: Help Ss understand what to do
* Content: Listen to the conversation about Mark and Hoa talking about the film Naughty Twins. Who starts in the films.
* Output: Complete the task
* Process:
PREDICTION: WHO STARS IN NAUGHTY TWINS? LISTEN AND CHECK. (Exercise 2, p. 89)
- T asks Ss to listen Mark and Hoa are talking about the film Naughty Twins then find Who starts in the films?
- Teacher plays the recording. 
- Students listen and focus on the predicted keywords to find out the answer. 
- Teacher allows students to peer check first.
- Teacher confirms the answers and gives feedback.

b. Activity 2: (Exercise 3, p. 89)
* Objective: to introduce the activity and help Ss to listen to the conversation again. Choose the best answer to each question below.
* Content: Choose the best answer to each question
* Output: Complete the task
* Process: 
- Teacher asks students to read the conversation and to focus on the key information and underline the keywords.
- Teacher plays the recording again. Ask students to listen and choose the correct answer.
- Teacher lets students peer-check with a partner. 
- Teacher calls some students to give the answers to the class and correct the mistakes where necessary, encourages students to explain their answers, and shares some tips on finding the information.

* Objective: Help Ss to make notes about one of your favourite films based on the outline.
* Content: Make notes about one of your favourite films and complete the table below.

WORK IN GROUPS. MAKE NOTES ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE FILM. 
- Teacher asks students to look at the table, and draws their attention to the information needed. 
- Students group up and decide on their favorite film. 
- Students work in groups to ask and answer the questions and fill the table. 
- Teacher goes around and helps if needed. 
- Teacher confirms the answers and gives feedback.

A short summary of the film: Riley is a 11-year-old girl. She moves from Minnesota to San Francisco because her father starts a new job here. Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to the new life. After one year, everything is fine and Riley is happy.
Other features of the film (the acting, music, etc.): Beautiful, original story about handling big feelings
Reviews about the film: A very creative and touching film
d. Activity 4:
* Objective: Help Ss to write a paragraph of about 70 words about your favourite film, using the information in 4.
* Content: Write a paragraph (about 70 words) about their favorite film
* Output: Complete the paragraph
* Process:
WORK IN GROUPS, MAKE A FILM REVIEW. (Exercise 5, p. 89)
- Teacher shows a model of a short paragraph about a film review. Then recalls students’ knowledge on the structure of a paragraph.
- Teacher tells students to make a film review about their agreed favorite movie in Task 4. Teacher gives students some time to arrange the work within the groups and give each group an A2 plain card with some colors. 
Teacher allows students time to write a paragraph (about 70 words) about their favorite film, using the suggested ideas/ information in Task 4. 
- Teacher asks some students to decorate the card with the colors and stickers.
- Teacher allows students to cross check first.
- Teacher gives feedback.
Example 1: 
My favourite film is the Harry Potter series. It is based on one of the best selling novels. They are fantasy and fiction films about the wizard named Harry Potter and his friends: Ron and Hermione. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint starred in this film. I like this film and I find it gripping, moving and funny, too. The scenes were set in the beautiful spots in the UK and the acting was really great. 
Example 2: 
I would like to tell you my favorite movie. The name of the film is Inside out
The type of film is American computer-animated comedy film
It is  directed by Pete Docter and co-directed by Ronnie del Carmen
The film is about  Riley who is a 11-year-old girl. She moves from Minnesota to San Francisco because her father starts a new job here. Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to the new life. After one year, everything is fine and Riley is happy. Other features of the film is beautiful, original story about handling big feelings. Reviews about the film is A very creative and touching film.
3. Consolidation:
Teacher asks students to talk about what they have learnt in the lesson.
4. Homework:
- Rewrite the film review in your notebook.
- Prepare for the next lesson Unit 8 - Lesson 7: Looking back and Project.

I. AIMS

* Content: Match the types of films in column A with their descriptions in column B
* Output: ss can match the correct answers
* Process:

* Objective: To encourage students to give examples for types of films.

- Have ss work in pairs first
- Teacher checks by calling each pair to say out their examples in front of the class. 
c. Activity 3:
* Objective: To help students revise adjectives describing films.
* Content: Choose the correct answer A,B,C or D to complete each sentence.
* Output: Ss can choose the correct answer
* Process:
- T.asks ss to think over adjectives for describing types of films in the previous lessons. 
- Have ss look through the sentences, then check the meaning of some words if necessary.
- Ss work individually to choose the correct answer.

* Objective: To help students revise the connectors: although/ though and however.
* Content: Match the sentences or halves sentence in columns A and B

- Give the form again and example.
- Have ss look at the halves sentences in columns A and B, then match correctly
- Ss do individually, then share compare.

* Objective: To allow students to apply what they have learnt (vocabulary and grammar) into practice through
a project.
* Content: Choose one of your favorite films and design a poster for it

- Teacher has students work in groups and gives instructions to students as follow:
1. Choose one of your favourite films and design a poster for it, including:
– name of the film
– type of film
– its director and main actors / actresses
– a short summary
– your overall opinion about the film
– the showtime and cinema
– pictures or photos to illustrate the film
2. Organize them into an exhibition.
3. Vote for the best poster.
- Students do the project in groups.

3. Consolidation:
